62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch. Matt 27:62-66

1 And when the sabbath was past, very early in the morning, at the rising of the sun, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene, and (Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and *Salome, and other women Lke 24:10) had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. (came to see the sepulchre). Mk 16:1..Matt 28:1,2 *Salome may have been the sister of Jesus Christ, and daughter of Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses. Mk 15:40

3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? Mk 16:3

2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: [H1063 assigning a reasson. (The chariots of God are twenty thousand. Psalm 68:17 Was the (Great Earth)-quake caused by the landing, of one of God's (rockets?) chariots at Jeruasalem! Psalm 68:17 with Exodus 19:18)] for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4 And for fear of him the keepers [soldiers.. Matthew 28:12] did shake, and became as dead men. Matthew 28:2-4

4 And when they (Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome, and other women Lke 24:10..Mk 15:40) looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. Mk 16:4..Matt 28:1

5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. Mk 16:5

5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Be not affrighted: for I know that ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified. Matt 28:5..Mk 16:6

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matt 28:6..Mk 16:5

7 But quickly go your way, and tell his disciples and Peter that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. lo, I have told you. Mk 16:7.. Matt 28:7

8 And they departed quickly and fled from the sepulchre; with great joy; neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid (trembled) and were amazed: and did run to bring his disciples word. Matt 28:8.. Mk 16:8

9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and showed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. Matt 28:5-15

Now the next day, the day after the day of preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together and went to Pilate, and they said, Sir, we remember, that that liar said, when he was alive, that he would rise from the dead on the third day. Lke 13:32

Give a command that the sepulchre is made secure until the third day, so that his disciples cannot come during the night, and steal his body, and then tell the people, that he rose from the dead, or the last error will be worse than the first.

Pilate said to them You have a watch: go your way and make the sepulchre as secure as you can.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees went, and they made the sepulchre secure, and they sealed the stone, and they got soldiers to guard the sepulchre.

And when the sabbath day was over, very early in the morning, when it was still dark, as the sun began to rise on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James the less, and *Salome, and other women bought sweet spices, to anoint Jesus, and they came to see the sepulchre.

And they were talking among themselves, and they said, who will roll the stone away from the door of the sepulchre for us?

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: because the angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and he came and rolled the stone away from the door of the sepulchre, and he sat upon it.

His appearance was white like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. And because the soldiers were so frightened of him they trembled, and they were [as dead men] unable to move.

And when Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome, and the other women looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away from the door of the sepulchre: It was a very large stone.

And when they went into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side of the sepulchre, and he was wearing a long white robe: and they were frightened.

And the angel said to the women, Don't be frightened: because I know that you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified.

He is not here, because he has risen from the dead, like he said, Come and see the place where he was laying.

But quickly go your way, and tell his disciples and Simon Peter that he has risen from the dead: and, behold, that he is going before you into Galilee: you will see him there, lo, I have told you.

And Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome, and the other women quickly ran away from the sepulchre; and they were full of joy; and they didn't say anything to anyone; because they were trembling with fear and they were amazed: and they ran to tell the disciples.

And as

they went to tell the disciples, behold, Jesus met them, and he said, All hail. And the women came and they held him by the feet, and they worshipped him.

Then Jesus said to the women, Don't be frightened: go and tell my disciples to go into Galilee, and there they will see me. [After Jesus Christ had risen from the dead, he (appeared [before, fore, at the first.] in front of. Mk 16:9) met Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary his own mother, the other women, as they were running to tell the discipes that the Angel had told them that Jesus Christ had risen from the dead and was going ahead of them to Galilee! (Mary Magdalene was probably younger than Christ's mother and Joanna, and the other women, so, she was probably leading the way, because she was probably running the fastest.)]

Who were the Witnesses

who saw Jesus Christ after he had risen from the dead!

Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome, and  the other women.

Now as they were going, behold, some of the soldiers went into the city, and they told the chief priests all of the things that had happened.

And when the chief priests and the soldiers were gathered together with the elders, they paid the soldiers big money, and they said, Say that his disciples came during the night, and stole his body, as you slept.

And if Pilate hears about it, we will convince him that that is what happened and we will protect you.

So the soldiers accepted the bribe (took the money) and they did what the chief priests told them to do: and to this day, this lie is frequently told among the Jews.

*Salome may have been the sister of Jesus Christ, and daughter of Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses. Mk 15:40
